STANDARD LOGS AND BLOCKS

A GRADE BLOCKS AND LOGS

500 X 500 x 2000MM LOGS

A Grade - Wheel sawn top, bottom and ends with a bolstered quarry cut front face and back. (for a rock face type look)

Our A Grade Sandstone Blocks and Logs are cut with a quad saw for fairly consistent heights.  The top/bottom and ends are wheel sawn, front and back face is bolstered off the quarry floor, giving you a rock face type look.  Always show your best face out, for a great looking wall.

A Grade are the easiest to build with, helping to minimise installation costs. They make for amazing feature walls, garden landscaping and retaining walls and are great for commercial and civil retaining projects.

Minimal imperfections - Guaranteed one good face, one face may be slightly irregular

(may contain, lumps, bumps, lips, small chips)

B GRADE BLOCKS AND LOGS

500 X 400/500 x 1000MM BLOCKS

500 X 400/500 x 2000MM LOGS

B Grade - Wheel sawn top, bottom and ends with a bolstered quarry cut front face and back. (for a rock face type look)

B Grade cuts are more likely to have imperfections such as chipped corners, tapering widths and inconsistent colour. Often your block wall builder can accommodate B grade logs by placing them strategically to hide the imperfections, but this could take slightly more work to build which will add to your installation costs and the wall may have more gaps. However, B Grade does add character.

Some imperfections.

(will contain, lumps, bumps, lips, small chips, tapering)

C GRADE BLOCKS AND LOGS

500 X 250/500 x 2000MM LOGS

C Grade - Wheel sawn top, bottom and ends with a bolstered quarry cut front face and back. (for a rock face type look)

C Grade cuts have many imperfections such as chipped corners, tapering widths and uneven surfaces. Often your block wall builder can accommodate C grade logs by placing them strategically to hide the imperfections, but this could take significantly more work to build which will add to your installation costs and the wall may have many gaps. C Grade blocks are better for single block height walls and landscaping features.
